Start with the feet.

Cast on 17 sts with light brown.

1 - 4. St st, start with a purl row.

Break yarn. Leave the work resting on the end of the needle.

Cast on 17 sts with light brown onto the same needle.

1 – 4. St st, start with a purl row.

5. p2tog, p15, cast on 10 sts and continue knitting over the 1st foot, p15, p2tog (= 42 sts)

6. k2tog, k38, k2tog (= 40 sts)

7. p2tog, p36, p2tog (= 38 sts)

8. cast off 5 sts, k27, cast off 5 sts (= 28 sts)

Break yarn. 

Make a little skein of yarn from approx. 5 grams to use with the color changes later on. Lay it aside.

Attach the light brown yarn again into the 1 st.

9. p28

10. k5 with light brown, k18 with pink, k5 with light brown. Use the little skein for the last 5 sts. 

Twist the yarns with every color change to avoid holes in your work. 

11 - 22. St st, the light brown sts with light brown, the pink sts with pink.

23. p6 with light brown, p16 with pink, p6 with light brown.

24. k2tog with light brown, k4 with light brown, k16 with pink, k4 with light brown, k2tog with light brown (= 26 st)

25 - 32. St st, the light brown sts with light brown, the pink sts with pink.

33. p6 with light brown, p14 with pink, p6 with light brown.

34. knit the light brown sts with light brown, the pink sts with pink.

35. p2tog with light brown, p4 with light brown, p14 with pink, p4 with light brown, p2tog with light brown (= 24 st)

36 and 37. St st, the light brown sts with light brown, the pink sts with pink.

38. k6 with light brown, k12 with pink, k6 with light brown.

39. purl the light brown sts with light brown, the pink sts with pink.

40. k2tog with light brown, k4 with light brown, k12 with pink, k4 with light brown, k2tog with light brown (= 22 st)

41. p6 with light brown, p10 with pink, p6 with light brown.

42. k7 with light brown, k8 with pink, k7 with light brown.

Continue with light brown only.

44. k2tog, k18, k2tog (= 20 sts)

45. p20

46. k2tog, k16, k2tog (= 18 sts)

47. p18

48. k2tog, k14, k2tog (= 16 sts)

Break yarn.

49. Cast on 9 sts with light brown onto the empty needle, purl the 16 sts of the body, cast on 9 sts with light brown (= 34 sts)

50. k34

51. pfb, p32, pfb (= 36 sts)

52. kfb, k34, kfb (= 38 sts)

53 - 55. St st

56. k2tog, k34, k2tog (= 36 sts)

57. p2tog, p32, p2tog (= 34 sts)

Cast off all sts.

Make another part like this but skip the belly. Make all sts with light brown.

Cast on 16 sts with light brown.

1 - 5. St st, start with a purl row.

6. 8 x [k2tog] (= 8 sts)

Break yarn and draw tightly through sts.

Join seam. Stuff the tail and sew it onto the back.

Lay both parts of the body on top of each other and sew them together. Leave an opening at the neck from 10 sts.

Start at the back of the head.

Cast on 16 sts with light brown.

7 - 25. St st

26. 8 x [k2, k2tog, k1] (= 32 sts)

32. 8 x [k1, k2tog, k1] (= 24 sts)

33 – 35. St st

36. 8 x [k1, k2tog] (= 16 sts)

37. p

38. 8 x [k2tog] (= 8 sts)

Break yarn and draw tightly through sts.

Join seam. Attach the safety eyes at row 28, leave 9 sts between them.

Stuff the head.

Work a gathering thread through every stitch along base edge and draw up tightly.

Embroider with pink the nose onto the head. 

Sew the head onto the body.
