1. Body

Start at the bottom of the body.

Cast on 16 sts with pink.

1. p16

2. 8 x (k1, kfb) (= 24 sts)

3. p24

4. 8 x (k1, kfb, k1) (= 32 sts)

5. p32

6. 8 x (k2, kfb, k1) (= 40 sts)

7. - 17. st st

18. 8 x (k2, k2tog, k1) (= 32 sts)

19. - 23. st st

24. 8 x (k1, k2tog, k1) (= 24 sts)

25. - 27. st st

28. 8 x (k1, k2tog) (= 16 sts)

Bind off knit-wise and leave a long yarn end hanging.

Join seam using a mattress stitch. Pull the yarn end zigzag through the loops of row 1 and pull tight. Weave in the end. Stuff the body.
2. Head

Start at the back of the head.

Cast on 16 sts with pink.

Break yarn and draw tightly through the sts.

Attach the safety eyes in the 1st and last decrease of row 32. Join seam using a mattress stitch. Stuff the head. Pull the yarn end zigzag through the loops of row 1 and pull tight. Weave in the end. Embroider with brown 2 stripes onto the snout as nostrils, see picture 1 for placement. Weave in all ends.
3. Legs

Start at the top part of the leg.

Cast on 20 sts with pink.

1. - 23. st st, start with a purl row.

Continue with brown.

24. and 25. st st
4. Hoof part 1

There are now 20 sts on the needle, this will be the hoof. Knit the hoof in 2 parts. Start knitting over the first 10 sts on the needle, leave the other 10 sts resting on the back part of the needle.

1. k2tog, k6, k2tog (= 8 sts)

2. p8

3. k2tog, k4, k2tog (= 6 sts)

4. p6

5. k2tog, k2, k2tog (= 4 sts)

Break yarn and draw tightly through the sts, leave 20 cm hanging to close the hoof with.
5. Hoof Part 2

There are now 10 sts left on your needle. Hold your work with the right side towards you. Attach with brown again, this will be the 2nd part of the hoof. Repeat part 1. See the picture for how to sew the leg closed.

Stuff the legs for about two-thirds, the top part remains empty. Fold the edges together and join the top seam using a mattress stitch. Knit 3 more legs. Sew the front legs onto the body, just below the head. Sew the hind legs onto the sides of the body. Use photo 2 for placement of the legs.
6. Ears

Cast on 10 sts with pink.

2. k10

3. k2tog, k6, k2tog (= 8 sts)

4. p8

5. k2tog, k4, k2tog (= 6 sts)

6. p6

7. k2tog, k2, k2tog (= 4 sts)

8. p4

9. 2 x k2tog (= 2 sts)

Break yarn and draw tightly through the sts. Knit another ear. Sew the ears onto row 19 of the head, with 7 sts between them. Fold the tips of the ears to the front and secure them with a few sts.
7. Tail

Cast on 20 sts with pink.

1. p20

2. Bind off the sts per 2 knit-wise (so you decrease while you bind off).

Sew the tail onto the back of the body.
