Julia's dress is crocheted in back and forth rows. At the end of each row, make a turning chain. This is not mentioned in the pattern. The dress consists of a front piece and two back pieces (see illustration).

Pattern for crocheting Mouse Julia by Hardicraft. Julia is approximately 13 cm tall and is made with a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

2. Front panel (part 1)
Ch 17 with red.
1. Make 1 sc in each ch from the 2nd ch from the needle (= 16 sc)
2. - 5. 16 sc
6. sc 2 st together, 12 sc, sc 2 st together (= 14 sc)
7. - 10. 14 sc
11. sc 2 st together, 10 sc, sc 2 st together (= 12 sc)
12. - 14. 12 sc
15. sc 2 st together, 8 sc, sc 2 st together (= 10 sc)
Fasten off.

3. Back pieces (part 2 and 3)
Ch 9 with red.
1. Make 1 sc in each ch from the 2nd ch from the needle (= 8 sc)
2. - 5. 8 sc
6. sc 2 st together, 6 sc (= 7 sc)
7. - 10. 7 sc
11. 5 sc, sc 2 st together (= 6 sc)
12. - 14. 6 sc
15. 4 sc, sc 2 st together (= 5 sc)
16. 2 sc (leave the rest of the st of the round unworked)
17. - 18. 2 sc
Fasten off.
Crochet another back piece.
Sew the dress together according to the picture. Lay the pieces down as in the drawing.
Sew the 2 sc of round 18 to the ends of round 15 of the front piece (step 1).
Fold the front piece over the back pieces (step 2) and sew the sides closed from round 1 to 10 (step 3).
Ch 15 on the corners (a. and b.) to tie the dress together at the back (step 4).
