1. Head and body

Start at the top part of the head.

Cast on 32 sts with brown.

2. Left leg

You now have 2x 16 sts onto your needle, these will be the legs. Turn your work with the wrong side towards you. Attach again and start knitting the front 16 sts. This will be the left leg, leave the remaining 16 sts resting on the end of the needle.

1. - 13. st st, start with a purl row

14. 8 x (k2tog) (= 8 sts)

Break yarn, leave a 20 cm tail to join the seam. Draw tightly through the sts.
3. Right leg

You now have 16 sts onto your needle. Turn your work with the wrong side towards you. Attach again. This will be the right leg.

Break yarn, leave a 20 cm tail to join the seam. Draw tightly through the sts.
4. Sewing together

Thread a piece of yarn through row 29, between the stitch markers you placed. Let the yarn stick out 10 cm on both sides.

Embroider with black a nose in the middle of the head at row 17. Attach the safety eyes at the same height as the nose, with 8 st between them.

Lay your work down with the right side down. Fold the sides towards the middle and join seam at the inside of the legs and the part between the legs. Join seam at the back till the top part of the head. Stuff the body and pull the basting thread, which is at row 29, to create a neck. Make a knot in the ends and weave in the ends. Stuff the head and join seam at the top using a mattress stitch.
5. Arms (2x)

Start at the top part of the arm.

Cast on 12 sts with brown.

1. - 20. st st, start with a knit row.

21. 6 x (k2tog) (= 6 sts)

Break yarn, leave a 30 cm tail and draw tightly through the sts. Join seam using a mattress stitch. Stuff the lower part of the arm and sew the top part together. Sew the arms onto the body, just below the head.
6. Ears (2x)

Start at the bottom of the ear.

Cast on 12 sts with brown.

1. - 4. st st, start with a knit row.

5. 6 x (k2tog) (= 6 sts)

Break yarn, leave a 20 cm tail and draw tightly through the sts. Join seam using a mattress stitch. Sew the ears onto the head.
7. Bow

Cast on 30 sts with red.

1. - 10. k

Bind off knit-wise. Sew the ends together.
8. Strap

Cast on 10 sts with red.

Bind off knit-wise.

Flatten the first part, fold the strap around the middle of the bow and secure it with a few sts. Sew the bow onto the neck or on top of the head just before one of the ears.
