1. Body and Head

Start at the bottom of the body.

Cast on 24 sts with light brown.

1. p

2. 8 x (k2, kfb) (= 32 sts)

3. p

4. 8 x (k3, kfb) (= 40 sts)

5. - 24. st st, start with a p row.

Continue with green.

25. k at the wrong side of your work.

26. - 39. st st, start with a k row.

Continue with light brown.

40. - 59. st st, start with a k row.

60. 8 x (k2tog, k3) (= 32 sts)

61. p

62. 8 x (k2tog, k2) (= 24 sts)

63. p

64. 8 x (k2tog, k1) (= 16 sts)

65. p

66. 8 x (k2tog) (= 8 sts)

Cut off and leave a long yarn end hanging. Pull the yarn end through the 8 sts on the needle and pull tight. Attach the safety eyes at row 50, leave 8 sts between them. Embroider with black a nose and whiskers between the eyes.
2. Shaping

Use the knitting chart for the placement of the seams. Sew the sides of your work together, the seam is at the back of the cat. Weave a thread between the light brown and green part (between row 40 and 41), stuff the head and pull the yarn end to shape the head. Stuff the rest of the cat. Press the bottom flat and sew it together.

For the arms and legs, sew from the front to the back of the body. Press the body flat and sew with light brown from the middle at the bottom till row 21. Then create arms by making a seam with green from the neck till row 27.
3. Ears (make 2)

Cast on 8 sts with light brown.

3. k1, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k1 (= 6 sts)

5. k1, 2 x (k2tog), k1 (= 4 sts)

7. 2 x (k2tog) (= 2 sts)

Cut off and pull the yarn end through the 2 sts on the needle and pull tight. Fasten off. Sew the ears onto the middle of the head, leave approx. 8 sts between them.
