Pattern for crocheting Ophelia Oyster by Hardicraft. The oyster has a diameter of approximately 10 cm and is crocheted with a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

1. Top part of the shell
Ch 2 with light pink or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in each sc (= 12 sc)
3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)
4. 6 x (1 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc) (= 24 sc)
5. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 30 sc)
6. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 35 sc)
7. 5 x (3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 3 sc) (= 40 sc)
8. 2 sc in every 8th sc (= 45 sc)
9. 5 x (4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 4 sc) (= 50 sc)
10. 2 sc in every 10th sc (= 55 sc)
11. 5 x (5 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 5 sc) (= 60 sc)
12. 2 sc in every 12th sc (= 65 sc)
13. 5 x (6 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 6 sc) (= 70 sc)
14. 2 sc in every 14th sc (= 75 sc)
15. 5 x (7 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 7 sc) (= 80 sc)
Fasten off. Crochet the same part again with light blue, but don't fasten off now. Place the parts with the wrong sides together and crochet the edges together with sc. Do not cut the yarn, you will now crochet the edge in the sc with which you have crocheted the parts together.
2. Edge
1. 80 x (1 sl, ch 3), close with 1 sl
Fasten off.
3. Bottom of the shell
Ch 2 with light pink or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in each sc (= 12 sc)
3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)

6. 6 x (2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 2 sc) (= 36 sc)
7. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 42 sc)
8. 6 x (3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 3 sc) (= 48 sc)
9. 2 sc in every 8th sc (= 54 sc)
10. 6 x (4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 4 sc) (= 60 sc)
11. 2 sc in every 12th sc (= 65 sc)
12. 5 x (6 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 6 sc) (= 70 sc)
13. 2 sc in every 14th sc (= 75 sc)

Fasten off. Crochet the same part again with light blue, but don't fasten off now. Place the parts with the wrong sides together and crochet the edges together with sc. Do not cut the yarn, you will now crochet the edge in the sc with which you have crocheted the parts together.
4. Edge
1. 75 x (1 sl, ch 3), close with 1 sl
Fasten off. Sew the top part and bottom part of the shell together at the back.
5. Pearl
Begin at the top of the pearl. Ch 2 with white or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in each sc (= 12 sc)
3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)
4. 6 x (1 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc) (= 24 sc)
5. 2 sc in every 4th sc (= 30 sc)
6. 6 x (2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 2 sc) (= 36 sc)
7. 2 sc in every 6th sc (= 42 sc)
8. 2 sc in every 14th sc (= 45 sc)
9. to 16. 45 sc
17. Crochet every 14th and 15th st together (= 42 sc)
18. Crochet every 6th and 7th st together (= 36 sc)
19. 6 x (2 sc, crochet 2 st together, 2 sc) (= 30 sc)
20. Crochet every 4th and 5th st together (= 24 sc)
Attach the safety eyes between round 12 and 13, leaving 6 stitches space between the eyes. Stuff the pearl.
21. 6 x (1 sc, crochet 2 st together, 1 sc) (= 18 sc)
22. Crochet every 2nd and 3rd st together (= 12 sc)
23. 6 x (crochet 2 st together) (= 6 sc)
Fasten off. Embroider with pink blush under the eyes and a small mouth between the eyes at the level of round 13.
