Pattern for crocheting the Soap Truck from Hardicraft. The truck is approximately 8 cm high, 17 cm long and is made with a 2.5 mm crochet hook. The pattern is written in US-terms.
Start with the base. The base is crocheted in back and forth rows. Ch 1 at the end of each row and turn around.
Ch 16 with green.
1 to 40. 15 sc
Crochet a row of sc around the entire piece as follows:
41. 39 sc along the side, 3 sc at the corner, 13 sc along the front, 3 sc at the corner, 39 sc along the side, 3 sc at the corner, 13 sc along the back, 3 sc at the corner (= 116 sc)
Continue crocheting in rounds.
42. 116 sc, but crochet only in the back loops.
43 and 44. 116 sc
45. 19 sc, ch 17, skip 59 sc, 1 sc in the 60th sc, 37 sc
46. 19 sc, 17 sc in the ch, 38 sc (= 74 sc)
47 and 48. 74 sc
49. 52 sc, ch 17, skip 27 sc, 1 sc in the 28th sc, from now on this is the start of the round.
50. 46 sc, 17 sc in the ch, 1 sc (= 64 sc)
Continue with white.
51. 64 sc
52. sc 2 st together, 41 sc, sc 2 st together, 19 sc (= 62 sc)
53. sc 2 st together, 39 sc, sc 2 st together, 19 sc (= 60 sc)
54 to 57. 60 sc
Continue with green.

Fasten off. Draw the yarn end through the loop of the remaining 6 stitches and pull tight. Weave in the end.
2. Bonnet
Attach the green yarn in the 1st remaining loop of the chain stitches of round 49 (at the front) (photo 1)
1. Crochet 17 sc along the loops.
2 to 5. Ch 1, turn the work, 17 sc
Fasten off.
Sew the sides and the front of the bonnet closed.
3. Cargo space
Attach the brown yarn in the 1st remaining loop of the chain of round 45. (photo 2)
1. 17 sc along the chain, 59 sc (= 76 sc)
2 to 13. 76 sc
14. 4 sc, crochet the next 14 sc together with the remaining loops of round 58 (photo 3), 58 sc (= 76 sc)
15 to 17. 76 sc
18. Crochet this round only in the back loops: 3 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 20 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 17 sc (= 68 sc)
19. 2 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 8 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 18 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 8 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 16 sc (= 60 sc)
20. 1 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 6 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 16 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 6 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 15 sc (= 52 sc)
21. 2 x (sc 2 st together), 4 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 14 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 4 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 13 sc, leave the last stitch of the round unworked (= 44 sc)
22. 2 x (sc 2 st together), 2 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 12 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 2 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 11 sc, leave the last stitch of the round unworked (= 36 sc)
23. 4 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc, 4 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc (= 28 sc)
24. 2 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc, 2 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc (= 24 sc)
Fasten off.
Stuff the truck and sew the top closed. Weave in the ends.
Embroider with green 2 stitches along each corner to create windows.
Embroider with black 2 doors on the back of the cargo space.
4. Wheels
Ch 2 with white or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 2 sc in each sc (= 12 sc)
Continue with black.
3. 2 sc in every 2nd sc (= 18 sc)
4. 6 x (1 sc, 2 sc in each sc, 1 sc) (= 24 sc)
Fasten off.
Crochet another piece, but crochet all rounds with black and don't fasten off.
Place the two pieces together and crochet them together with 24 sl.
Fasten off.
Crochet 3 more wheels and sew the wheels to the sides of the truck.
5. Headlights
Ch 2 with yellow or start with a magic ring.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch or in the magic ring, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 6 sl
Fasten off.
Crochet another headlight and sew the headlights to the front of the truck.
6. Taillights
Ch 4 with yellow.
1. 3 sc in the ch.
Fasten off.
Crochet another taillight and sew the taillights to the back of the truck.
7. Logo
Ch 2 with yellow.
1. 6 sc in the 1st ch, 1 sl in the 1st sc (= 6 sc)
2. 4 sc in the 1st sc, 2 sc, 4 sc in the next sc, 2 sc (= 12 sc)
3. 1 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc), 3 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc), 2 sc (= 18 sc)
4. 2 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc), 6 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc), 4 sc (= 24 sc)
5. 3 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc), 6 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc), 3 sc (= 30 sc)
6. 5 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc), 9 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc), 4 sc (= 36 sc)
Continue with green.
7. 5 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc, 2 sc), 9 sc, 3 x (2 sc in the next sc, 2 sc), 4 sc (= 42 sc)
8. 42 sl
End with 1 sl in the 1st sl of the next round and fasten off.
Embroider the word ‘SOAP’ and bubbles on the logo with white.
Make another logo and sew the logos to each side of the truck.
